Shane's Kickball Tragedy

On Thursday night we were playing kickball with our HS youth group, and it wasn't just your ordinary game of kickball. There was a twist...when you get the ball, you throw it at the runner to get them out. I was playing in the infield and it was Shane's turn up to kick. He kicks a line drive right at me...I scoop it up, aim and throw the ball as hard as I could at Shane, my target. "Got Him!" I had nailed him right at his ankles, he trips on his feet and then smack, right down to the pavement he falls. I was mixed with emotion. Everyone was laughing...I felt so bad, yet it was so funny at the same time. He couldn't believe it, that his nine month pregnant wife could take him out like that. The kids definitely had some fun with him that night. He was a good sport...Love you Honey!

Kim's Baby Shower

On Sunday my friend Natalie and I had a shower for our good friend Kim. It was a beautiful day, and a fun time celebrating the coming of Rachel with her family and friends. She is due a couple weeks after me, but I think Rachel will be coming a lot sooner. I have to say though Kim is one tough momma. She sat in the scorching sun for more then an hour opening gifts and it didn't even phase her. I was by her side taking note of what she got and helped her with the gifts, and after about 45 minutes I got super hot and my toes swelled up like sausages...my sandals didn't even fit anymore. I gave in...I tried to tough it out but I had to have Nat take over. Kim you're a trooper!

Over all, it was a great day for a baby shower : )
